In response to feedback received from past staff satisfaction surveys, coupled with my previously announced ‘Phase 2’ review of our operational structures, Mercy Connect has commenced an internal rostering review.
The review is to help us evaluate our current rosters and determine if there are alternatives that are better suited for both employees and the business. We have engaged the consulting firm Shiftwork Solutions.
Shiftwork Solutions are roster and shift work experts here in Australia who have worked with many other 24/7 care providers like us.
Mr Arjen Wassenaar from Shiftwork Solutions will meet with Mercy Connect staff working on shift between 10 – 12 February (Monday to Wednesday) to explain the review in more detail, and survey your individual preferences for time off, hours of work, shift rotations and other details.
These staff surveys are completely confidential and give each of you the opportunity to express your opinion. You can also use this time to ask Arjen questions and share ideas about your hours of work and your ability to live healthy with shift work.
A schedule for the staff meetings is currently being drafted, and will be sent out to everyone soon. Each meeting will take approximately 45 minutes and all staff are encouraged to attend one of these sessions.
If you are unable to attend a session with Shiftwork Solutions, please contact your Team Leader / Manager so that alternative arrangements can be made for you to participate and provide your feedback.
