Thursday 3 June 2021
Good morning all,
It is very pleasing to hear that many Mercy Connect staff have already received their first and / or second dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine (AstraZeneca / Pfizer) in line with the ongoing government vaccination program.
Please be aware that the Wodonga and Wangaratta COVID-19 Vaccination Hubs will be providing priority vaccination access to all Disability Workers from Wednesday 2 June – Saturday 5 June 2021.
Staff are not required to make a booking, and are able to turn up at either Vaccination Hub and receive their vaccination as a priority (Pfizer for under 50 and AstraZeneca for 50 and over).
To access a walk-in appointment, staff will need to provide the following evidence: Medicare card (if you have one), Photo identification (for example, driver licence, proof of age card or passport), and the Department of Health letter as proof of eligibility. If you would like a copy of the Department of Health letter confirming eligibility from Mercy Connect, please download here or contact Rosie Busuttil rosie.busuttil@mercyconnect.org.au or 02 60433500.
The Wodonga Hub is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm (Monday to Friday), and exclusively for Residential Aged Care staff and Disability services staff from 8.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday.
The Wodonga Hub is located in the old Coles Building at 184 High St, Wodonga – access via the Hovell Street entrance.
The Wangaratta Hub is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm (Monday to Friday) and from 9.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday.
The Wangaratta Hub is located in the WJ Smith Building, 10 Clark St Wangaratta.
I again encourage all Mercy Connect staff to take advantage of this opportunity to protect themselves, their families, our participants and the wider community.
