WHY CHOOSE MERCY CONNECT

What makes our Behaviour Support different?

We’re a regional not-for-profit that has been part of this community for over 20 years. The people we support and the families we work alongside shape everything about how we deliver our Behaviour Support services.

Focus on understanding behaviour

We work to understand the reasons behind behaviours rather than simply responding to them. This helps create meaningful, long-term solutions that meet your needs.

Positive, person-centred approach

Our supports are based on positive behaviour support principles that respect your rights and dignity. This ensures strategies are supportive, not restrictive.

Improved quality of life

Supports are designed to reduce behaviours of concern and increase wellbeing. This supports greater participation in daily life and community activities.

Support for families and carers

We provide clear guidance and strategies for those supporting you. This creates consistency and confidence across your support network.

Qualified practitioners

Behaviour Support is delivered by trained and approved practitioners. You are supported by professionals who meet NDIS standards and requirements.

Qualified practitioners

When a participant is thriving in a Day Program, families notice. Confidence, conversation, new friendships, and a reason to get up in the morning — that’s what families tell us they see.

Which plan management type do you have?

NDIS managed
 (Agency managed)

Mercy Connect is a registered NDIS provider, you can use us with agency-managed funding.

Plan managed

Send your plan manager our details and they’ll handle the invoicing.

Self managed

Self-managed participants can use any provider. We’ll invoice you directly.

Not sure what type of plan management you have? Not sure if you have this in your plan? Check under ‘Core Supports’ in your NDIS plan or myplace portal. If it’s not there but you think it should be, speak to your LAC or Support Coordinator at your next plan review.

Don’t have this in your plan yet?

If Behaviour Support is not currently included in your NDIS plan, you can request it at your next plan review. Your Support Coordinator or LAC can help explain how Behaviour Support will improve safety, communication and overall quality of life.

If you are new to the NDIS, you can discuss behaviours, challenges or support needs during your planning meeting so the appropriate supports can be considered.
