St John’s was founded by Father Dunne, Albury’s Parish Priest, and the Sisters of Mercy, in 1882 at Thurgoona, initially established as an orphanage for girls. St John’s Cemetery is privately owned and operated by Mercy Connect, and is located at Dunne Crescent], Thurgoona, New South Wales.

Internments at St John’s Cemetery are primarily reserved for local Sisters and other people with a strong historical or personal connection to the building and the support services it has provided over the years.

As a licensed operator, Mercy Connect, in accordance with our license conditions, is committed to upholding the highest standards of customer service.
