Today we warmly welcomed acting-CEO Sue Thornton from Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare today, to explore ways we could meaningfully support their essential programs and services.![]()
Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare is the logistical solution to food insecurity in our region. They work collaboratively to maximise the volume and nutritional quality of food for local people in need, by rescuing food on a mass scale by operating a first-class warehouse in Wodonga that receives, sorts, stores and distributes rescued food with the help of a growing team of volunteers.![]()
Foodshare shares rescued food and meals with welfare agencies, schools and neighbourhood houses in the Albury Wodonga region to give to people that would otherwise go hungry. They also empower people to make their own way out of poverty through education, training and employment programs and we ensure sufficient, affordable and culturally appropriate nutritious food is available to all.![]()
With the rising cost of living pressures being experienced by many in our community, Foodshare urgently needs our region’s support, which includes funding / donations and volunteerism, to ensure the long-term sustainability and viability of its impactful programs.![]()
Together we grow.
