We are looking for an experienced and passionate Marketing and Communications Manager to help tell our story, amplify our impact and strengthen our connection with the communities we serve.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of innovative marketing campaigns, digital communications, recruitment marketing, fundraising initiatives and community events that raise awareness of Mercy Connect’s services and mission. Working closely with senior leaders, you will shape our brand, engage key stakeholders and drive strategies that support organisational growth and community impact while leading our Marketing and Events Officer.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Manage and oversee all communications, including press releases, social media, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and events, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to enhance marketing efforts.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Passionate about disability rights and advocacy.
  • Creative and innovative thinker.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications / willingness to obtain

  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and proactively, adapt to changing organisational needs and deliver quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between Mercy Connect locations as required.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or National Police Check.

Founded in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, we support people with disability to live connected, meaningful lives across Albury-Wodonga and Central West NSW.
