One million permanent humanitarian visas. One mill One million permanent humanitarian visas. One million unique stories. One shared community. 💙

This refugee week, Australia is celebrating “A Million Stories”. It’s a powerful reminder that our nation is shaped by the courage, resilience, and diverse background of those that have sought safety on our shores.

True hospitality isn’t about expecting people to lose who they are to fit in. It’s about expanding our community so everyone can thrive exactly as they are. As Catherine McAuley beautifully put it: “We must try to be like those rivers which enter into the sea without losing any of the sweetness.”

Our workplaces and communities are at their best when newcomers are supported to retain the distinct richness of their own journeys while finding a safe place to call home.

This Reconciliation Week, staff across our locatio This Reconciliation Week, staff across our locations took time to learn and reflect together.

In Orange, staff joined Gerald Power from @indigenousculturaladventures for a Bush Tucka tasting experience, learning about the meaning and flavours of various native foods and plants and how to use them in cooking.

Staff in Albury enjoyed a visit from local guest speaker, author, cultural educator and emerging leader @t_hampton92, who spoke about his personal journey, what reconciliation means to him, and helped guide staff to develop their own Acknowledgement of Country.

From meaningful conversations to shared cultural learning, we’re grateful for the opportunity to continue strengthening our understanding and commitment to Reconciliation. It’s an ongoing journey, and we’re proud to continue learning together.
