Heat Notice

Good afternoon,

Hot weather warning

The next 5 days are forecasted to be very hot.  Therefore it is imperative that plans are in place to reduce the risk of heat-related injuries to staff and participants, including:

  • Drink plenty of fluids.
  • Protect against sunburn.
  • Never leave anyone in a parked car.
  • Avoid working outside during the hottest part of the day.

Please talk to your Team Leader or Manager about options for programs over the next few days to ensure you remain cool.

Symptoms of a heat-related illness include:

  • Dizziness.
  • Sweating.
  • Visual disturbances.
  • Fainting.
  • Nausea, and
  • Muscle cramps.
